Beach trip!

It's been a few weeks since our trip to the beach, but we stay pretty busy at our house chasing a newly crawling Oliver! So, without further ado - here are some pictures of our fun at the beach (or more appropriately near the beach since Ollie wasn't so keen on the beach except when it was overcast or after the sun went down).

Ollie absolutely loved visiting his Mimis and playing in the waves, but definitely is NOT a sunbather! It was an eventful trip as Matt and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary and Oliver learned to crawl :)

Friends, toys and Olympics!

Oliver is keeping quite busy these days. Between play dates, mall walks, breastfeeding support groups, playing at home with mom and dad and watching the Olympics - his days are jam packed!

We recently hosted a play group at our house with a few of Ollie's friends. Not all are pictured as it was nap time :) Aren't they cute?

Most of his time at home is spent playing with some of his many toys. That being said, it is ironic how much we spend on toys only to have him LOVE the stupid stuff that is either not a toy or was free!

Here he is with his trusty companion: remote.

Here Ollie poses on his play mat that he enjoys both playing on and noming. He is thankful for its presence in his life as it has prevented many concussions as he was learning to sit up on our tile floor.

This boy just loves his old school rotary phone that was a hand-me-down from his cousins Piper and Amelia.
Oliver loves looking at the "cute baby in the mirror" who is always doing something darling.

To date, one of his most beloved toys has been a stupid frisbee given to us by our credit union. Go figure.
But, BY FAR, his most favorite of toys is Buckle. Buckle is attached to his high chair and Oliver is fascinated with it. I think he will be able to open and close it by the end of the month, no joke. You can ask "where's Buckle?" and Oliver will look at it. Weird.

He also loves to chew on the straps which are covered in gross baby food at this point. Who has time to clean that?

Oliver has also been taking time to relax and watch the Olympics. We normally don't watch TV at dinner time, but we've been making exceptions for the Olympics. Here is Ollie taking in some gymnastics.

Here is Ollie after Gabby fell off the balance beam!

He keeps us entertained.

Finally, just a darn cute picture...

Beach trip aka excuse to dress baby in cute stuff.

This past weekend we went for a brief visit to see my sister Mandy and my mama in Fernandina Beach, FL. We enjoyed a great mini vacation complete with beach walking and taking Oliver in the "big boy" pool for the first time! He loved it, but unfortunately, there are no photos of that cuteness as both mama and dada were in the pool with Ollie.

Babies are just like us, sometimes they look a little ridiculous when they first wake up...
Ollie loved waking up and playing on the patio overlooking the beach in his new walker!

He enjoyed walking on the beach, but didn't even make it long enough to put his feet in the water. The rhythmic waves put him right to sleep!
Here he is playing with his current favorite toy.
This one is not from the beach, but it's cute and I couldn't help myself...

Adventures!

Ollie has had lots of adventures lately! First, he made a LONG drive to Alabama to visit his grandpa at the lake. He loved being in the water and just chillin' in his raft as seen below. He also enjoyed leisurely swims in his kiddie pool followed by some swinging and deep thinking!

Upon his return home, Oliver wanted more excitement, so we headed to the Tallahassee Museum to see what we could see. And see we did - lemurs, piggies, owls, and all sorts of other creatures! He loved it :) Sorry there are no cute photos of Ollie seeing said animals as I was holding the baby and Matt only takes photos upon request...

He's got the beat.

This baby LOVES to drum. On anything. At any time. He drums on our tile floor, the side of his crib, any table he is placed in front of, actual drums, frisbees, pots, bowls, mama, daddy - you name it, he thinks it is his drum. Just a few pictures from the last week of him jamming.

It is silly, but I think his favorite "drum" is this frisbee from our credit union. Goof.

Side note: think he's a lefty?
